Hoops dream ends at the buzzer for Vandy

Sadness. Gnashing of teeth. Georgetown just beat my hometown heroes, Vanderbilt, 66-65, advancing to the ‘elite eight.’ But still, it was an incredible game with some amazing play by both teams. Even when I don’t care who wins, I find basketball the most stressful sport to watch. When I do care, it’s near impossible for me to witness.

Sidenote: At some point this weekend, I will post a review of a book I spent the past two evenings devouring (I can’t think of another word to describe my inability to stop reading it), Mark Kriegel’s “Pistol: The Life of Pete Maravich.” I can’t think of a better book to read during the final week of “March Madness.”
