Easy question – Who will be the social media marketing agencies of record?

Joe Marchese raises an interesting question over on MediaPost.com about what types of firms will become social media marketing “agencies of record”?

I think the answer is easy and obvious:

They will be firms specializing in online conversation, community and content that are run and managed by people who have spent at least 10,000 hours each blogging, bookmarketing, tweeting, Facebooking, digging, sharing photos, posting video, etc.

There’s no hanging out a shingle and faking it ’til you make it when it comes to the authenticity required to make this work.
