Jon Stewart meets T-Pain and the Chipmunks

As I’m fortunate enough to have an 18-year-old son, I actually know that Auto-Tune is what hip-hop artists (notably, T-Pain) use to get that distorted “electronic” voice and to change pitch without speeding a recording (think Chipmunks). (Or, if you don’t have an 18-year-old in the house and aren’t a hip-hop fan, you might be unlucky enough to remember Cher’s 1998 song, Believe)*.

Now, some very funny people called The Gregory Brothers are using Auto-tune and edited clips from C-SPAN and news programs to create some hilarious videos in a series they’re posting on YouTube called “Auto-Tune the News.”

Prepare to have your ribs hurt.
