When articles like this appear in the NYT, readers assume there must be something new about it. As most people understand that magazine companies in the B2B field host things called trade shows where companies go to introduce their brands, I'll skip the more nuanced examples of parties, events, festivals and the like that media companies produce unter their own brands, or on behalf of marketers' brands.
